There were many interacting causes, during 400 years under the rule of King of Sweden, followed by 100 years under the Russian Monarchy, with the Grand Duchy of Finland governors, autonomous formality, but progressively working to sideline and Russification of the cultural roots of the Suomi people’s national identity and destiny…..
The appeal is to the intellect for justice and reason. If we correctly understand what individual freedom means, we would conclude that the freedom of will does not give license to do whatever the individual feels, desires, wants or wills to do.
Self-determination is a reality; the potential problem is in the individuals living soul content. What is the agenda of the individual person mind, heart, and soul, expanded and empowered by political ambitions and military power conquest?
When there is disrespect for the Spirit of the Natural Law, then the individual’s heart, mind, and soul reject the guiding instructions of time-proven wisdom. The individual then willfully determines to know better than the infinite Creator God of the Universe, the first cause. Forgetting, that the individual person is a finite being, with an insufficient subjective living soul experiences. The individual’s subjective self-life experience often becomes the authoritative resource of knowledge for decision making and life philosophy.

The Nordic people were born into a natural environment, with a cultural connection to the land and the seasonal cycles of life. From the early beginnings, the children were raised to learn and interact with the natural environment, that stored up lifelong memories of all the seasonal changes. From the hibernating deep snow and ice-covered winters to the awaking of the spring season to the endless sunlight days of the midsummer solstice.
People of the land knew what the natural environment was with its biodiversity, and what the habitats had to offer according to the seasons. Their life depended entirely on the natural resources. The people moved and traveled like nomads to optimize the seasonal changes according to local knowledge and the wisdom of the tribe leader’s collective experience.
It was a fascinating life environment to be born into, with the unmistakable signs and the unforgiving extreme cold elements of the natural world in charge of the life cycles, commanding respect from people for life in the natural world.

Few thousand years without Imperial Super Powers coveting the land area between Gulf of Finland, Bothnia Bay, Karelian Isthmus, lake Ladoga to the White Sea. The King of Sweden started showing interest in the region that was between Sweden and Novgorod Moscow. For 400 years the Kings of Swden ruled over the people of Finland. Then finally early 1807 the Russian won the war over Sweden, adn Sweden surrendered the Finland people territory to the Russian rule. Until the early 1900 whent he Russian Bolsheviks started rebellion to remove the Russian Tsar, and in 1905 and 1917 the Russian demostrations against the Monarchy led to the Russian Revolution of 1917 that upended the Russian Monarchy. That released the bear grip that Russia had on Finland, and Finland became an Independent Republic in 1917.
