How To Quit Smoking For Life

How To Quit Smoking For Life

How to Quit Smoking for Life needs only three things in place, 1. The power of the rational mind to understand. 2. The desire for good health with a respectful attitude towards physical health. 3. Spiritually in tune with meaningful life, that is sufficiently humble to learn from those that are free from the negative habit of cigarette smoking/NICOTINE addiction.

The biggest thing that sets apart those smokers from those who successfully quit smoking is the desire to quit, and the determination to make it work no matter what. Someone who is just interested in stopping smoking might play with the idea for a short period of time. They may read a book, talk to their doctor but ultimately they do not take the time to make necessary lifestyle changes. In contrast, someone who is determined to quit smoking will read books, talk to their doctor, tell their family and friends that they are quitting. Additionally, they typically do research to determine the best stop smoking aids for them to use based on their own lifestyle and even start looking for additional ways to improve their health.

How to Quit Smoking for Life explained

Everyone has found themselves in the position at some point or another of second guessing their ability. This is certainly nothing new. The problem comes when you are trying to quit smoking and find yourself completely trapped underneath the stress of the situation. Trying to decide what you are going to do to regain complete control over things is critical. If you take the time to create a good plan that is firm you will find a much better success rate. Setting yourself up for success is one of the most important things that you can do in your attempt to quit smoking and failing to do this will often result in the cycle of continuously trying to quit.

How to Quit Smoking for Life by making it stick with rational though and determined will power

This difference is huge because it is often a clear signal of success, and what is nothing more than falling into the cycle of continuous trying. You have to make a clear decision that you are going to quit, and you have to sell yourself on the idea. If you are just trying to convince yourself that you might be able to quit, you are going to have a lot of difficulty really making it to your final goal. In contrast if you are absolutely certain that you can quit smoking, it just matters how soon you accomplish the goal you are moving in the right direction.

We as people are full of subliminal messages. Many of the messages that we are receiving come from others, but we are good at telling ourselves a lot of information as well. This means you need to train yourself to send the right subliminal messages. If you are eluding confidence then your messages are going to be positive, additionally you are going to find that as the urge to smoke appears it bothers you much less than someone who has serious doubts about their ability to quit.

How to Quit Smoking for Life ? Make it a priority in life

Everyone knows that it is not easy to quit smoking. Being aware that it is not easy is not the same as setting yourself up to fail though. The difference is the fact that you recognize the difficulty and you are attempting to overcome the struggles that you think you are going to encounter. Merely allowing the struggles to blindside you in a moment of weakness where you find yourself smoking is not good for your goal to quit smoking. This can actually be very harmful because your overall self-confidence is crushed, and once crushed; it is really hard to get back.

If you set yourself up for success by admitting that it is not easy to quit smoking, and agreeing that you will stop smoking somehow no matter how difficult it is your commitment level will be much higher. Accepting the problems as they come, and working to overcome them is vital. You are going to find that you are much happier with your goal of quitting for good, rather than just quitting for a weekend. While it might seem like a good idea to break it down into just quitting for a weekend you will discover that slipping back into smoking is so much easier after the weekend is over, rather than deciding to quit smoking for good and aiming for that goal in all of your actions.

Foods That Can Help Arthritis Sufferers

Foods That Can Help Arthritis Sufferers

Foods that can help arthritis sufferers may be a very useful way to get a grip on the arthritis problem. Food and nutrition is often neglected for the most benefits that food and nutrition can provide for good health.  food is too often seen as a comfort to be enjoyed, rather than eating food for essential nutrients and energy.

Do you suffer from arthritis? If so, over-the-counter pain medication may become a common fixture in your life. Unfortunately, some individuals are susceptible to addiction and there are health complications due to over-consumption. So, what should you do? Consider more natural ways to seek relief. In fact, start in your kitchen. Although there are no guarantees, many arthritis patients see success by incorporating certain foods into their diets.

Foods That Can Help Arthritis Sufferers

What type of foods may help those, like you, suffering from arthritis?

Pineapple.

Pineapple is recommended for arthritis because it contains a chemical called Bromelain. Many claims this helps to prevent inflammation. In fact, some athletic trainers recommend its consumption to keep joints pain free and flexible. As with any other health foods, it is best to consume fresh instead of canned or frozen.

Foods that can help arthritis sufferers – Oily fish.

Those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis are often encouraged to avoid meats. Meat has fat that is known to produce inflammation agents in the body. The only exception to this is with fish. Oily fish, such as mackerel and salmon, are rich in omeg-3 fatty acids. These acids have many health benefits. They inhibit the release of joint destroying chemicals and compounds. Supplements are found in most retail stores, but it is best to get these oils directly from the source.

Celery.

The celery plant contains many different anti-inflammatory agents. These can lessen the suffering of arthritis pain and discomfort. It is best to eat the celery seeds. Most recommend placing up to one teaspoon of celery seeds into a cup with warm, but not boiling water. Let stand for a few minutes and drink. This can provide almost instant relief during an attack. The celery plant as a whole contains anti-inflammatory agents; so eating fresh celery regularly has benefits too.

Red chili pepper.

Red pepper, also known as cayenne pepper, can help relieve the joint pain associated with most types of arthritis. As for how, you may be amazed. Many claim it causes the release of natural endorphins. Essentially, your body itself stops the pain. Not only should patients consume red chili pepper, but a topical mixture works too. Many recommend mixing up to one quart of rubbing alcohol with once ounce of cayenne pepper. It is important to note, this mixture is to be applied to the skin during bouts of pain. Under no circumstances should you drink the mixture due to the rubbing alcohol.

Sesame seeds.

The Chinese have long believed and used sesame seeds to combat the inflammation caused by arthritis. As with oil, sesame seeds contain healthy fatty acids. For the best results, eat sesame seeds straight. If you dislike taste or texture, opt for incorporating them into your meals. Eat sesame seed rolls and use them when preparing dinner at home. They can be added to most foods.

Foods that can help arthritis sufferers – Ginger.

Ginger is well-known and widely used to fight inflammation. Most commonly used as a cooking spice, it has many health benefits. In addition to reducing inflammation, it assists in treating diarrhea and nausea. Available in a spice format, it can and should be sprinkled atop cooked vegetables and other foods. As with omeg-3 fatty oils, it is best to go directly to the source. Fresh ginger is easy to peel and cook. Wrapped in a towel, bag, and freeze for months. It is also found in the non-carbonated ginger ale drink.

Raw cabbage.

Although not as well-known and as popular as the above mentioned foods, many also claim raw cabbage assists with arthritis relief. Some recommend the regular consumption of raw cabbage or cabbage juice. They claim this relieves both joint paint and swelling.

The above mentioned foods may assist those suffering from arthritis. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees. Our bodies each process food in different ways. For example, celery can work to reduce joint pain for one individual, but it may actually trigger additional pain with another. In fact, some forms of rheumatoid arthritis are trigged by certain foods. For that reason, be prepared to experiment. Trial and error can help you determine which foods are the best at relieving your own, unique pain.

Common Types of Arthritis and Treatment Options

Common Types of Arthritis and Treatment Options

Common types of arthritis and treatment options article post is for anyone that suffers from the arthritis or knows someone that is suffering from it.

Do you or someone you know suffer from arthritis? It is a common disease, you likely do. What type? Only a doctor can tell, but there are over 100 different types of arthritis. Despite this large number, they typically fall into two categories.

Common Types of Arthritis and Treatment Options

1 – Osteoarthritis

This disease is most commonly found in men and women over the age of 65. It is also known as degenerative arthritis. This name comes from the progression of the disease. It beings with cartilage breakdown. The cartilage covering the bones degenerates and wears away. Essentially, sufferers have exposed bones. These bones then rub against each other, causing severe pain and discomfort. Many also experience difficultly moving.

The most noticeable symptom of osteoarthritis is joint pain. Stiffness is common the morning and after movement. All joints can be impacted by osteoarthritis, but the most common are the hips, feet, back, knees, and fingers. Those with arthritis problems in the hands and feet may find it difficult to walk without a limp and grasp otherwise easy objects.

As with most types of arthritis, there is not just one cause for osteoarthritis. There are many contributing factors. These include body weight, previous injuries, and genes. Although osteoarthritis typically affects the elderly, athletes who repeatedly use the same joints and suffer injury are at an increased risk. As for body weight, the joints and muscle surrounding them carry most of the body’s weight; more weight applies more pressure. Although rare, there are defects that can lead to osteoarthritis. These include a lack of protein that makes up cartilage and the poor fitting of bones and joints.

2 – Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis affects over one million people in the United States. It does not discriminate, as individuals of all ages are susceptible to the disease. In fact, there are three types of rheumatoid arthritis for juveniles alone. The cause? The immune system is supposed to protect our body, but in some cases it does the exact opposite. With rheumatoid arthritis, it attacks the joint lining membrane.

The most noticeable symptom of rheumatoid arthritis is pain. If untreated, other complications can arise. The most common is disability. To prevent this from happening, all patients are urged to exercise their joints and muscles, even though it may be painful at first. Another common symptom of rheumatoid arthritis is inflammation. The swelling can be mild to severe. In most instances, this is what separates rheumatoid arthritis from other forms. Swelling and inflammation is likely, but it is much more prominent and debilitating.

Luckily, rheumatoid arthritis suffers rarely experience constant pain. The disease flares up from time to time. These flare ups are trigged by joint overuse and certain foods. As for the cause, it is currently unknown. There are however many theories. One being genes.

3 – Fibromyalgia

Although not always classified as a form of arthritis, fibromyalgia is an arthritis related condition. This disease affects over three million people in the United States. That number is actually higher, but some patients are misdiagnosed.

The most noticeable symptom of fibromyalgia is muscle pain. There are also tender spots in the muscle and body that are more susceptible to pain and pressure. Additional symptoms include headaches, bladder problems, difficulty thinking, fatigue, and sleep difficulty.

While researchers have yet to determine a connection, a good percentage of those who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis later develop fibromyalgia. It wasn’t bad enough that your joints hurt, but now the muscles in your body too? Additional causes may be related to prior injuries. Some studies have shown that those with previous injuries are more likely to develop the disease. Many experts believe the change in muscles, due to injury, can later lead to chronic pain and fibromyalgia.

Now that you are familiar with some of the most common types of arthritis, what comes next? If you or someone who you know suffers from arthritis, medical care is important. A proper diagnosis is important to developing the best treatment option. Low impact exercise can loosen the joints and strengthen the surrounding muscles. This not only eliminates joint stiffness, but it can later prevent disability and deformities.

Finally, some pain can be treated, but it will reoccur. Those suffering from arthritis need to learn how to manage their pain. This involves not focusing too much on it, eliminating stress, asking for help, getting a good night sleep, and learning how to calmly relax.

Never Make Excuses for the Alcoholic

Never Make Excuses for the Alcoholic

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem, relationships are often very complicated, too often a trade off from one thing to another, a person may put up with abusive partner, because they find the  person to be stimulating.   Humans are a strange lot of animals, their lives are too often driven by bad habits and addictions to drugs, only need to read some biographies of celebrities and rock stars, to discover how much people are willing to put with if they are being stimulated.   And at the same time violating the laws of physical health and holistic living lifestyle.

Never Make Excuses for the Alcoholic
Temptation is always attractive at the initial stage. As if it offered life.

When you live with an alcoholic, you need to put up with a lot. The one thing that you should never do is may excuses for their actions or their drinking. You have to tell the truth, but in some cases, just not saying anything is better. If you make excuses for what an alcoholic does or why he or she drinks, you are just helping them keep on drinking and not taking responsibility for their actions. Sometimes it may be easier to make excuses than admit the true, but it just compounds the problem. One way to think about it is that if you have nothing truthful to stay, then just say nothing.

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem, because it makes you inherently weak.

Excuses make you look bad. When you make excuses for why someone drinks, you are not helping them at all. In fact, when you make these excuses to someone else, they look at you differently. They wonder why you would make excuses for someone’s attitude or drinking. If you have ever joined a group for family members of an alcoholic, you would be told that it is unacceptable to make excuses for any reason. This just helps the alcoholic keep drinking without taking responsibility for their actions.

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem by hiding the bottles.

Never hide the problem or you will enable the alcoholic to continue to fool everyone. This can cause more problems. If one day, the person you have protected and made excuses fro does something that is really bad, no one would believe you because you helped them hide behind excuses. You have to remember that if you want people to believe in you, you have to be honest and not lie or make excuses for the person the drinks. If someone asks you a question, answer it truthfully and never make an excuse.

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem by denial.

If you are abused in some way, never cover up this fact. Many men and women have done this every day that they lived with an alcoholic and ended up regretting it. Women, especially can be abused and live with it. However, if one day, the man in your life decides to take the abuse one-step farther and you protect yourself, who would believe you. You had spent all your time covering up for what they did that no one would believe that this person could do this. You have to be honest and not cover up the abuse. You need to tell someone that can help you.

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem by forgetting without a reasonable logic.

After the fight is over and he or she wakes up, do not be afraid to tell them once again what they have done. Many alcoholics do not remember what they did the next day when they wake up. Some even remember and feel remorse. Letting them off the hook for their actions will only make it okay the next time. They will know that whatever they do is okay because you will forget and forgive without a second thought. Make them understand what they did and how it has to stop. This is always a good time to mention that they need professional help.

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem to the employer.

If they miss work, you cannot keep making excuses. Many people with drinking problems have problems making it to work every day. Eventually they will have to explain to their boss why they are missing work. If you are asked to call into work for them because they just do not feel good from drinking the night before, the answer you give should be no, do it yourself. If they are going to keep drinking it is going to keep happening and sooner or later, you will be judged because you helped that person lie to get out of work.

Never make excuses for the alcoholic problem and never let it ruin your own life.

Take control of your life and distance yourself from the fighting and messes that the person makes. This is hard to do especially if you love the person. Living with an alcoholic in your life is never easy. You have to avoid the fights and stay out of any messes that the person may get himself or herself into because of their drinking. Alcoholics will mess up more than once and they will always apologize, but the next time they take a drink, they forget and do it all over again.

Never Accuse the Alcoholic of Being an Alcoholic

Never Accuse the Alcoholic of Being an Alcoholic

Never accuse the alcoholic of being an alcoholic because social problems are very painful for people to carry, and too often the only relief to social problems and personal pain is to use drugs to ease the pain. So under the alcoholism may be a very complicated psychological reason why the person is abusing alcohol.

If you live with someone that drinks, the last thing you should do is accuse him or her of being an alcoholic. Not only will you lose the debate, but they will become upset and in some cases, verbally, physically or mentally abusive. An alcoholic has to be the one to admit that they have a problem and there is no one else that can tell them any different. They will not listen to you no matter what you say. You might mention that the drinking is getting out of hand, but they may not think that there is a problem.

Never Accuse the Alcoholic of Being an Alcoholic
Fresh fruit for food and nutrition.

A never-ending fight is all you will have.

If you accuse the alcoholic of drinking too much, they will defend themselves to no avail. They will insist that it is you that has problems and whatever else they can think of to say. You will never win the battle in this case. If you live with an alcoholic, you will need a support group such an Al-Anon to help you. You need to talk with others that are going through the same thing as you. The problems will not go away until the alcoholic decides that they have a problem.

Never accuse the alcoholic of being an alcoholic due to the psychological complexities of human soul.

They can make you believe that they have not been drinking and they even believe it. This is common when you live with an alcoholic. They can hide their drinking because you accuse them of drinking. Then when you accuse them of drinking or you find the empties, they will tell you that those are from months ago, even though you know better. The horrible truth is that the alcoholic believes what he or she is saying to you and can sound so convincing. This is how they make you doubt yourself.

Deception is ambiguous to lose track of truth.

You will only start an argument if you continue to accuse him or her of being an alcoholic. This is a problem for anyone that lives with an alcoholic. You want to make them see what they are doing, but all you will succeed in doing is making them defensive and lie more. When the person is not drinking, you could mention the problem, but chances are they are going to deny any wrong doings. They can be very secretive and deceitful when it comes to drinking. They will do anything to drink and you will not stop them.

By accusing a person for Alcoholism is like pressing the pain button in their head.

They will not want to hear what you have to say even when they are sober. An alcoholic that thinks that they do not have a problem may not listen to you even when they are sober. They are sober so how could they have a problem. They can make you feel as if you are imaging a problem or even looking for reasons to start a fight. You will never win. However, you cannot let this fool you. You know there is a problem and you have to keep on top of everything.

Never accuse the alcoholic of being an alcoholic, even when it is blatantly so unintelligent, so weak morally, and so wrong with the social responsibility of being a good example to others, e.g. children.

There will come a day, when they will do something that will make them think about there drinking. Unfortunately, they will only be good for a short time. If they break something or hurt you, they will be sorry and make promises. Unfortunately, this is only a short-term fix. They are not going to stop drinking. They may slow down for a while until the urge takes over a gain. Then it will be back to the same thing all over again until the next time.

How to Help an Alcoholic Stop Drinking

How to Help an Alcoholic Stop Drinking.

How to help an Alcoholic stop drinking needs to be done with a holistic view of life, to accept the reality that life should be lived out drug free. The joys of life should be like a spring well that bubbles rewards in life naturally, and by contributing to the society with some thing that is meaningful, discovering person own gifts and talents,  to have good honest relationships with other people.

How to Help an Alcoholic Stop Drinking

If the person that you live with wants to stop drinking, you have to help as well. When an alcoholic wants to stop, you have to give up a few things that you may enjoy. The person will need your support when they are trying to stop the drinking and change. This is not easy for the person to do and you have to be the strong one again. You have to offer encouragement and not offer judgment. Judging the alcoholic that is asking for help is not going to work. You have to offer compassion and support. They are not just doing this for themselves. They are doing it for you as well.

How to Help an Alcoholic Stop Drinking with support.

Talk with them about what they are doing. This should be done when they are not drinking. You can calmly explain how the drinking is affecting the family. You can tell them how it has affected your children and your own feelings. In most cases, the alcoholic does not even realize what he or she has done to the family. They never take the time to see how their drinking affects anyone. All they know is that they were doing what they wanted to do.

Make sure that the person knows that you will stand by them through this time. This is probably one of the hardest things to do, but if you care about this person, you have to stand by them and offer any support that you can. If they join AA and continue to attend meetings, the 12-step program could bring up some bad memories that you do not want to hear, but you must listen and forgive or at least try. This is the hardest part of the 12-step program. It can bring back some horrible memories that could be very upsetting.

Offer to stop drinking in front of them if you drink.

This is important until the alcoholic feels comfortable with what they are accomplishing. If the person is trying to refrain from drinking and attending meetings, you do not want to be drinking in front of him or her. You have to make some changes as well. You cannot sit and drink even a few cocktails in front of them because the urge to drink for them will be strong until they learn how to control those urges. They may have an urge and slip, but you could offer help there as well.

Offer to be with them whenever they feel a need to drink.

If they feel the urge to drink coming, you can be there for the person. Make the thoughts and urges go away by offering to go for a walk or to take a ride. If you have never had an addiction, you cannot for a minute understand how the person feels inside. It is hard to control the urge if the person has been drinking for so long. Do something or go to a diner for a few coffees and just talk.

When the person wants to drink, think of something else the two of you could do instead.

This is the best thing you could do for someone that wants to quit drinking, but is have problems with it. You have to be strong and offer to listen or just sit and hold their hand. You have to be supportive and do whatever you can to make sure that they have another option to drinking. It is not easy to overcome an addiction, but with your support and the help of a group or treatment, they can succeed.

Stress management coach with good communication skills to gather information.

If you are able to meet with your clients and their employees one-on-one, do so. Gather everyone in a room and ask some to share their biggest stress concerns. Most will mention the balance between family and home. Others will mention short deadlines or long work hours. Some may actually mention that they are stressing out about your training session, because they are missing valuable work time. Once you get a good idea of what troubles your clients and their employees are facing, you get a better grasp on the situation. Next, comes the solution.

It is important to know how to manage stress, but it is also important to know how to prevent it. Encourage those worried about short deadlines to improve their time management skills. Suggest monitoring their progress and recording whenever they get off track. What were they doing? Surfing the internet, checking email, or socializing with a coworker? It is easier to eliminate these trigger factors when we know what they are. As for balancing family and home, most companies provide their employees with vacation time. Encourage your audience to use theirs, especially when they need a break.

Stress management coach can bring sanity to most work places.

As previously stated, it is best to avoid stress, but this is impossible for some. Many individuals cannot help blowing things out of proportion. These individuals need to learn to manage it. Now is the time to suggest stress reducing tools, such as aromatherapy candles, hot and cold therapy, stress balls, and so forth. In fact, if you discuss this with your client ahead of time, they may be willing to go the extra mile for their employees and purchase stress balls for everyone.

Hot and cold patches and stress balls are ideal for at-work use, but there is more to stress management. As mentioned above, some individuals are stressed about home life and they bring that stress to work. The goal of a business owner is to have happy and healthy employees. This involves encouraging positive attitudes at home too. In your stress management session, stress the importance of relaxation outside of the office. Those who are worried about spending time with family should know that it is okay to let a sink full of dishes sit for the night. It will still be there in the morning.

As a recap, marketing, sales, and organization are three important components of running a successful and profitable business. But, if the individuals in charge of these tasks are ridden with stress and unable to deal with it, poor results are likely. When dealing directly with a business owner, urge them to allow you to hold a short session on stress management or encourage them to do the same.

Health and Wellness Coaching

Health and Wellness Coaching

Health and wellness coaching should be like a spiritual barometer that keeps all the staff doing physical activities and fitness training in outdoor activities.

As a business coach, it is your responsibility to teach your clients the key components of running a successful and profitable business. For most small to medium sized business owners, this is increased sales, lowered operating costs, leadership development, marketing, and proper communication. These are very important aspects of running a business, but your step-by-step coaching guide should include more. What? Health and wellness in the workplace.

Health and Wellness Coaching
Physical, muscular and skeletal structure of the human body. All Copyrights Reserved.

In terms of health and wellness in the workplace, some business owners and operating mangers have it all wrong. Some literally believe that unless their employees are dying or in the hospital, they should be at work. Yes, those in good health should show at work and arrive on time. There are however, many consequences to not promoting a happy and healthy workplace. As a business coach, it is your job to outline these consequences for your clients.

Health and wellness coaching during the cold winter season.

As previously stated, some employers want their employees at work, no matter how they look or feel. This is very dangerous. Not just for the sick worker, but for everyone else in the workplace. A good example is to highlight common illnesses, such as the flu, the stomach bug, and the common cold. Print information from the internet showing the many and easy ways that these viruses spread. Then highlight the consequences, which could include everyone in the office coming down with a cold. Unfortunately, not everyone will get sick all at once. They will continue passing the virus around. One cold can negatively influence an entire office for weeks.

Health and wellness coaching for flu prevention.

Using the internet and printed guides to show how easily germs and colds spread from coworker to coworker is a great approach, but it isn’t enough for all. A great approach is to test surfaces. Do not opt for someone’s office or workplace, as the results may be embarrassing. Instead, test a common area, such as a commonplace phone, filing cabinet, or bathroom. Some test kits are available for sale, but they usually give limited results. Bite the cost and get true lab testing. In fact, include the cost in with your fee. There is no denying the results. Even cleaned offices have germs, many of which are the cause of viruses and colds.

As previously stated, a simple cold can affect a workplace for weeks. This is because not all coworkers come into contact with each other at the same time. It could take weeks or months for an entire office to run through a cold. Once again, not all office managers and business owners understand this. You need to show them. Use volunteers. In fact, use the entire staff present for training.

Take one individual, he or she is sick, but called in sick to work. Set that volunteer aside. They stayed home; therefore, are not passing germs around the office. Then take another volunteer; they are sick, but still went to work. In just the first hour of the day, they came into touching contact with three different coworkers. Those then turned around and encountered six more, and so forth. Create a line showing all the people who will get sick. Compare the two. Yes, one employee does miss work, but it is much better than having the entire staff out of commission. It is a chain reaction.

As previously stated, it is your job to educate business owners and managers on the key components of running a business. However, to properly implement those components, happy, healthy, and well staff members must carry out those actions. Otherwise, time is wasted, productivity is low, and the results are poor.
